It premiered on March 28, 2016 replacing Little Nanay on the network's GMA Telebabad block, and also aired worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV. Poor Señorita is about the story of Rita Villon (Regine Velasquez), an heiress and the owner of the most successful perfume company in the country, Señorita Scents. She is an obsessive-compulsive perfectionist that is feared by all of her employees for being a strict boss. Despite her wealth, Rita never had a boyfriend and has no interest in men but deep inside, she longs for love and connection especially from her family. In a twist of events, Rita loses all her wealth. On her way to gaining back all the things she lost, she stumbles upon five street children: Kyla (Ayra Mariano), Charisse (Jillian Ward), Apol (Miggs Cuaderno), Rambo (Zymic Jaranilla) and Girlie (Caprice Cayetano) that will help her get back on her feet. Along their journey, Rita develops affection for the children who will teach her the true value of happiness.
